North Island Tier 1 Zone Program Head Coaches

U18 Jordan Rauser

Jordan was born and raised in Campbell River and played for the CRMHA Tyees from U13 through U18. Started playing hockey as a goaltender until I was 16. Switched to a defenceman and continued to play for the Tyees until finishing U18.

Afterward minor hockey, I spent 3 years with the Campbell River Storm. In my final season of junior hockey, I captained the Storm to VIJHL, Provincial, and Western Canadian Championships. After junior hockey, I played 4 years of collegiate hockey with University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos, Selkirk College Saints, and the Vancouver Island University Mariners.

I graduated from VIU with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. I started my coaching career with the Campbell River Storm as an Assistant Coach in 2020. I worked with the Storm from 2020-2024, holding positions including, Associated Coach, Assistant General Manager, Director of Hockey Operations, and for a short time Head Coach. In my time with the Storm, we comprised a Regular Season record of 121-28-4-2, winning the Regular Season Championship last season.

U15 Rob Voltera

I am excited and honoured to coach the U15 Tier 1 Zone team this year and be a part of an unbelievable coaching staff that the North Island Committee has assembled at all our levels.

Hockey has been a part of my life ever since I remember. I am a proud Tyee alumni, that was a member of the team that put up our associations 3rd banner in the rafters when I played for our U15 program.

Last year I was the head coach for our U15 Tyee team and with my playing experience and the abundance of contacts I have made on my hockey journey, I was able to have 8 different scouts/general managers from the WHL, BCHL and 1 GM coach from the USPHL/Elite attend our games as a Tier 2 team!!

I feel that with my 13 years professional playing experience, which 2 were as a player assistant coach under a Stanley Cup winner, I expect not only professionalism on the ice but most importantly off the ice. I have numerous past players that have moved on to play at high levels (Junior A, WHL, College, Professional) but I am most proud of my ex-players that moved onto be doctors, RCMP officers and teachers that all ask for recommendations from me.

I am extremely excited for the upcoming year and being a part of an exciting era for hockey!!
