Officiating is a great way to stay involved in hockey, develop leadership and communication skills, build confidence, and earn money while being part of the game.
CRMHA welcomes both new and returning officials and is committed to supporting their development through training, mentorship, and ongoing education.
Whether you're just getting started or returning for another season, we encourage you to join our officiating team.
All new and returning officials must register annually with CRMHA to participate in the officiating program.
CRMHA welcomes both new and returning officials interested in officiating minor hockey during the upcoming season. Officials must be at least 12 years of age by December 31 of the current season.
No previous officiating experience is required for new officials.

New officials must complete both the online and in-person portions of the Hockey Canada Officiating Program.
Returning officials must complete any recertification requirements established by BC Hockey and Hockey Canada.
Officials aged 18 and older must also complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC).

Many officials go on to officiate at higher levels of hockey and gain valuable experience both on and off the ice.
